St Mary Schola | Blow the Trumpet
We present Blow the Trumpet, a concert of seasonal music for Advent. This concert includes a rousing medieval procession, sublime masterworks by Palestrina, Victoria, and Byrd, as well as sparkling choruses from Bach cantatas, a charming pastorale by Marc-Antoine Charpentier, and rarely heard pieces from the Mexican Baroque.
Pre-concert talk 30 minutes prior to performance.
This concert will be performed in Falmouth at Saint Marys and in Portland at the Cathedral of Saint Luke.
