Holyoke Historic Nutcracker
The Massachusetts Academy of Ballet performs the Holyoke Historic Nutcracker at the Pope Francis Preparatory School in Springfield, MA. The production is set in the Wistariahurst Mansion and the Holyoke Opera House and weaves bits of the Skinner family history with inventive choreography danced by students of MAB and MABETA, the Academy's performing group. Skinner family cousins William and Ruth dance enjoying the Holiday, then the evening turns into magical happenings at the mansion, trips to Mount Tom, and even a performance by the Wistaria Flowers and many Sweets as the Holyoke Opera House magically turns into a candy box.
Performances are on December 17th at 1:00 and 4:00 at the Pope Francis Preparatory School in Springfield, MA. This performance is sponsored, in part, by the Five College Credit Union and PeoplesBank.
