This fun, Zoom sing-along / play-along ukulele jam welcomes all levels of players. We'll sprinkle in ukulele technique tips, learn new chords, and laugh and raise the rafters in song.
THE JAMNANIGAN: A 45-minute jam designed to help beginners build a solid strum and become more familiar with chord changes ... AND hanging on for the ride! We play the songs super slowly and offer tips and playing suggestions as we go. Just like the Shenanigan, it's a ukulele jukebox and participants make up the set list as we go. On the song list, the songs prefaced with the letter "E" are fair game for the Jamnanigan. It's a great way to start putting what you have learned to use, building confidence, and having a great time. One benefit of a Zoom-based Jamnanigan: No one else can hear you, so you can make all the beautiful mistakes you like and only YOU will know.
THE SHENANIGAN: Hang on for the laughter and the ride as we sing and play together. It's a ukulele jukebox and participants make up the set list as we go, drawing song titles from a 200+ list of favorites. You'll get the most out of it if you have a fair strum and a decent command of at least the basic chords (A, Am, C, D, Dm, D7, E7, Em, F, G, G7).
Led by "Ukulele Clare" Innes, who has taught hundreds of students to play the ukulele, and singer-songwriter Rebecca Padula. For more information, visit https://www.ukuleleclare.com.
