Learn the ropes of professional filmmaking with a thorough, behind the scenes look at film production in Seattle! In this 4 week course, local producer and director Brad Lenz will teach a broad and comprehensive overview on shooting and producing film, with a focus on the resources available in Seattle. Students will be taught how to handle professional lighting equipment, get demonstrations on a 35mm and HD Digital Video camera, be instructed on the workflow to go from a camera negative (or raw digital file) through editing and learn the procedures for working with local studios, camera houses, and post-production houses. The class will first meet at NWFF and then arrange to meet each week at a different Seattle film vendor: including a grip and lighting house, camera house and a post-production studio.
