The Sages of Future Soul are a 20+ piece remote recording big band that performs arrangements of the modern jazz, funk and soul standards written in the last twenty years and beyond. Led by co-founders Shawn W. Davern and Joseph Nichols, the Sages of Future Soul recordings have featured saxophonist Alexa Tarantino and garnered praise from members of Moonchild and Hiatus Kaiyote. The most recent Sages of Future Soul project entitled El Canto de Byrd was released in Spring 2022 featuring trumpet soloist Winston Byrd.
