Wild Honey Presents Mark Eitzel and Parthenon Huxley
Two of the best songwriters/performers of the past 40 years..   Wild Honey Foundation welcomes our friends and long-time collaborators Mark Eitzel and Parthenon Huxley to our intimate backyard amphitheater for an afternoon of beauty and wonder.  Do not miss!!!  This will be an amazing show!

Proceeds from the show go to the non-profit Wild Honey Foundation's effort to aid the creativity of the autism  community, autism treatment and research, and help music folk in immediate financial need.

Doors open at 330,  Music starts at 4.  Food and non-alcoholic beverages will be served in the new backyard cafe.   Vaccination and masks are required.  No food or drink in the music seating area.   We are trying to stop the spread and stay safe!

MARK EITZEL

One of the most celebrated and idiosyncratic American songwriters of his generation, Mark Eitzel is best known as the leader of the iconic indie rock band American Music Club, who spun beautifully chaotic webs of guitar from Eitzel's gloomy but compassionate studies of lost souls and alcohol; since striking out on his own, Eitzel has embraced a number of different musical approaches, while his witty but downcast lyrical style has remained constant.

PARTHENON HUXLEY

Parthenon Huxley's dozen albums are packed with hooky, meaningful songs featuring his "gold dust voice" [Mojo Magazine] and a curio cabinet's worth of cool guitar sounds. Hux's first single, "Buddha, Buddha," caused Rolling Stone to gush, "You could land a marlin with these hooks!"  His albums Sunny Nights, P. Hux "Deluxe" and Homemade Spaceship all received Album of the Year awards. "I Loved Everything" from the album Purgatory Falls climbed to #1 on Rolling Stone's Exclusive Download Chart. Huxley's consistency has earned him a following of completeists--dedicated fans who own all his work. A recent remark from a fan on Facebook hit it right on the head --"I don't recall ever hearing a bad song by Parthenon Huxley."

A year after losing his wife, screenwriter Janet Heaney ("Powwow Highway") to cancer, Hux was recruited in 1998 to join ELO Part II. Hux teamed with ELO members Bev Bevan, Kelly Groucutt, Mik Kaminski and Lou Clark (as well as American singer/keyboardist Eric Troyer) and began touring the world. The experience broadened Hux's horizons as a professional musician and sent him to dozens of interesting countries including Chile, Russia, Dubai, Guatemala, El Salvador, Argentina, Ukraine, Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Belarus, Poland, Ecuador, Mexico and of course all over the UK and USA.

Hux made his mark as a producer and collaborator in 1993 with Mark Everett of eels, when Everett was a solo artist known as E. The first collaboration ("Hello Cruel World") became a Top Ten Alternative hit.  Hux scored again when he produced and wrote with Kyle Vincent. Their song "Wake Me Up (When The World's Worth Waking Up For)" hit number one in several markets and set a record for "bubbling under" the Billboard Hot 100 longer than any song in history (not that that was the plan). Hux has also collaborated with Foreigner hit maker Mick Jones, McCartney guitarist Rusty Anderson, Mick Jagger guitarist Stevie Salas, Canadian chanteuse Sass Jordan, Canadian Idol winner Kalan Porter, Go-Go's drummer Gina Schock, Chicago Transit Authority's Robert Lamm and many more.
