The Way Home
This incredible concert creatively explores the idea of our inner lives. We all have a variety of characters that dwell within us, that make up who we are. When those characters are at their healthiest, they can lead us home to our truest selves. However, when the arrows and traumas of life cause these characters to become unhealthy, they can lead us away from who we were truly meant to be. Told through the vocabulary of dance and spoken word, in the form of a fairy tale, our story tells of a cottage in the woods, where four characters reside together: The Businessman, The Sad Lady, The Scared Girl and The Bohemian. This cottage sits in a beautiful forest that used to be filled with light, but now is shrouded in darkness. These characters are faced with the task of not only how to usher the light back in, but also how to become a cohesive whole again.
