New Years Eve Christmas Sweater of Destiny & Open Mic Celebration!

Bring in the New Year at the Academy Theatre while watching your neighbors and friends perform at our theatrical "open mic" event that focuses on immediacy, originality and brevity. Whether you're coming to perform, watch or both, together we'll create a show that has never been seen before and will never be seen again. The Rules: 1. Pieces must be under 5 minutes in length. 2. There is one mics, one direct box, and one chair. 3. You can't break anything-not yourself, not the theatre-or you can't break any laws. Present scenes, stand-up, sketches, dance, poetry, music, magic, mind-reading, performance art within the bounds of good taste! Please wear your ugliest Christmas sweater ever and participate in the worst Christmas sweater runway fashion show with prizes for the ugliest sweater.
