Potawatomi Park Annual Banquet
Annual banquet and fundraiser for Potawatomi Park, Inc. which includes the Potawatomi Wildlife Park and "The Wall" Historic Park.
The banquet will be at the Back 40 banquet facility in Bourbon, and will feature a catered meal, an update on what has been happening at the park during the last year, as well as the park's plans for the upcoming year.
A small silent auction and other opportunities to donate to the park's mission will be available.
Table sponsorships include premium seating and listing in the event bulletin.
Dr. Mark Schurr, Professor of Anthropology at the University of Notre Dame, will be giving a talk about the life of Stephen Benack (1780-1855) and the time of rapid change he lived in, including the insights that were gained from archaeological work at Potatatomi Wildlife Park. Benack was the leader of the last village of Potawatomi in the area, which was located on the park grounds from 1834-1848.
