WHERE EVERY DAY IS A VACATION dir. Catherine Gropper
Catherine Gropper, award winning film finalist decides to leave the worlds of political and social drama ( The Meeting , the interpreter) and travels through Florida, to find a lyrical and lovely part of life following the pandemic. Benny s at the sea is just the ticket and the open air joy of sharing, fishing , eating , surfing reminds us all that lifes simple pleasures are what we might need and miss most of all. This new documentary short fills the cup more than half full. Almost as if you are right there, on that Lake Worth pier , with the filmmaker, enjoying your pineapple punch, smiling.
Director Statement
This simple new short documentary film ( where everyday is a vacation ) echoes Groppers constant theme; the simple life and its pleasures are why we choose to come together because they are mostly the true experiences validating our lives. Whether in Ravello ; NYC and Trump Towers World; The lyrical pier restaurant in Lake Worth, Florida, her viewers experience a personal connection to people, telling their truth amidst artistic landscapes.
