In 1931, Portland, Oregon born Raymond Tauscher won four international motorcycle racing titles in a 12-month period. He has produced feature and short subject films that deal with early cinema history, World War II aircraft, race cars and their drivers, and motorcyclists. THE SIP dir. Paul Bestolandes
A man must come to terms with his past on a camping trip. 'The Sip' was shot during the COVID-19 lockdown in 2020. The thematic elements explore death and how loss impacts life.
DIRECTOR STATEMENT
Our team decided to film on a vintage anamorphic projection lens to retain cost while producing high budget quality. The ISCO Ultra Star Red Anamorphic has a unique film look. The lens elements created a distorted, yet subjective, experience reminiscent to the emotions of our main character. We hope you enjoy our small project. We believe in times of distress; artistic endeavors pervade the path to enlightenment
