Repast Baroque Ensemble: Storm and Solace, Brooklyn Performance
Repast presents music from the late Baroque, a transitional period to the Classical Era that included experimentation with musical portrayals of emotional upheaval. From the idea of Empfindsamkeit, or heightened sensitivity, to the sudden mood swings of passionate youth, this program features daring and intimate works by Schaffrath, Platti, Benda, and C.P.E. Bach.
