2014 Cross Border Terroir Wine and Food Event
The Event: 2nd Annual Cross-Border Terroir is a unique, wine-prominent, food and wine pairing educational event. Attendees will discover how both BC and WA terroir is expressed in the wines made in both regions. Tasting-sized pours of nearly a dozen wines will be paired with specially prepared tapas-sized plates of food.
Cost (plus tax and gratuity): $75 members (of either group); $95 non-member
Get ready to enjoy the following:
* An educational presentation, complete with information booklet, comparing and contrasting the terroir of British Columbia with the terroir of Washington.
* Extremely rare small-production wines from various wine regions of British Columbia that are not yet available for purchase within Washington.
* A collectible gift for each attendee to commemorate the first Cross Border Terroir Wine & Food Event (collect from this year and future years)!
* Both a silent auction and a live auction, filled with items related to wine, food, and cross border themes.
This event raises money for scholarships provided by two non-profit organizations:
Pacific NW Chapter of American Institute of Wine and Food (AIWF) - provides scholarships to culinary and winemaking students.
Canada-America Society (CAS) - provides scholarships to K-12 U.S. students seeking to study in Canada.
