Jake Armerding & Taylor Armerding in concert
A benefit for Essex Farm Cooperative Fridge Delivery, bringing good farm food to hungry people.

Join us for an evening with this incredibly talented father-son duo. Fantastic vocalists, songwriters, and multi-instrumentalists with decades of performances with Northern Lights and the Bluegrass Gospel Project (Taylor), neo-classical quartet ROSIN (Jake), and the high-octane bluegrass band Barnstar! (both). Jake and his violin have shared the stage with Bela Fleck, Josh Ritter, David Wilcox, and Toad the Wet Sprocket to name just a few. Taylors unique voice and his blazing mandolin are well-known to local audiences through the BGP and his current band, The Revenants. A family reunion you won't want to miss!

The Boston Globe calls violinist-producer Jake Armerding "the most gifted and promising songwriter to emerge from the Boston folk scene in years."  Armerding grew up playing classical violin and listening to 80's pop radio.  He released his neo-classical string quartet project ROSIN at Carnegie Hall in New York City in January 2018, and splits his time between that ensemble and a ridiculously high-testosterone bluegrass band called Barnstar!, of which his dad is also a member.  Over the course of three thousand performances, he has shared the stage with Bela Fleck, Nickel Creek, Josh Ritter, David Wilcox and Toad the Wet Sprocket. He lives with his wife and two sons in Boston, MA.

Taylor Armerding was a co-founder in 1975 of New Englands most prominent progressive bluegrass band, Northern Lights. He spent 28 years as the band's front man, mandolin player, lead singer and chief songwriter.  From 2001 to 2017 he fronted the Vermont-based Bluegrass Gospel Project, then launched a new group called The Revenants with fellow BGP alumni Andy Greene and Kirk Lord.

Food Truck from Rove+Dwell on site serving from 5:30! Come early and enjoy a picnic in the park across the street.

All proceeds benefit Essex Farm Cooperative Fridge Delivery.
