This class is a modern hybrid (online/hands-on) class that meets and exceeds the job performance requirements of Chapters 4, 5, and 10 of NFPA 1002 for certification as a Pumper Operator. Content includes: Fire pump theory and operation, driving skills, regulations and laws, hydraulics, fire ground operations, specialty pumping, and apparatus maintenance and testing procedure. After successful completion of this course students will be eligible to begin their DPSST Task Books for NFPA Apparatus Equipped with Fire Pump. Students will need IFSTA 3rd Edition Pumping Apparatus Driver/Operator Book.
The only prerequisite for this course is NFPA Driver Operator. Sign up early and come prepared to learn and have fun!
