LUCKY MUD

Clay figures battle their fickle egos and struggle to communicate. They may suffer physical and emotional imperfections but, like humans, theyre in a constant state of transformation. Wielding violence and tenderness, these figures perpetually collide. They sculpt one another and blur the line between destruction and creation. Each collision leaves them forever changed. This stop-motion animation is a celebration of vulnerability, imperfection, and the human capacity for transformation.

A modern satire on aristocracy, competition and extinction, drawn from a sixteenth century musical curiosity about a king killing for sport. British vocal ensemble I Fagiolini sings Janequins La chasse (1537), complete with hunting sound effects, and plays a royal family determined to reign supreme.

The patient in an insane asylum is given an injection to calm her down. She is left alone lying on the bed in a straitjacket overhelmed with her hallucinations and memories.
