Kantorei KC: Palestrina Missa Brevis
Join Kantorei KC in our FIRST live performance since February of 2020. We are so excited to welcome you back. This program will be short, so we can let in two small audiences at a time to allow plenty of distancing. One at 4:00 and one at 5:30. Feel free to attend one or the other or BOTH if seats are available.
The centerpiece of the program will be Renaissance Polyphonic master Palestrina and his Missa Brevis or "Brief Mass." Intermingled with the ancient sound of Palestrina will be modern works of choral music that echo, or add to the themes expressed in the mass. Featuring works by Ulysses Kay, Bobby McFerrin, Jake Narverud, Kim Arnesen, Jan Sandström and Jake Runestad.
Seating will be General Admission, and limited capacity to allow for any guest to distance from other audience members. Audience will be required to remain masked for the duration of the program.
Tickets will be $10 for audience of all ages when purchased in advance, or $15 at the door.
