The holiday offering for Mountain Community Theater's 2013 Season is James W. Rodgers' "It's A Wonderful Life," a fully staged production and excellent adaptation of the Frank Capra classic. Based on the short story "The Greatest Gift" by Philip Van Doren Stern, the holiday season is a time to create memories, and enjoying this classic Christmas tale as a live theater experience is the perfect celebration of the season. "It's A Wonderful Life" celebrates community at its best and reminds us that we contribute to each other's happiness and well being, perhaps daily, in ways we might not ever be conscious of. This is the timeless gift of the story and why it continues to resonate so powerfully with us today. The Boston Globe called the stage version "magic... a 'wonderful' night at the theater." Broadway World said that "It's a Wonderful Life" is "a fantastic show for all ages."
