ABOUT DENNIS WARNER:

Recognized for his crafty wit and skillful musicianship, Folk/Americana musician Dennis Warner captivates audiences in over 100 cities each year with his smooth vocals and his six and twelve string guitars. He is also a popular guest speaker at various community gatherings throughout the country.

Warner's credits include appearing on numerous regional television and radio programs as well as NPR's Great Acoustics, Live! and River City Folk. He has also hosted his own radio special, Jammin' with Dennis Warner, broadcast by public radio affiliates. Dennis has recorded nine CD's and is the author of the popular children's book, Beads on One String.

Released during the winter of 2012, Warner's latest CD, Seeds, became a hit on public radio and reached #12 on the folk music charts worldwide. Three singles from the album made it into the top 40 for the months of February and March that year. FOLKDJ listed Seeds as one of the top albums of 2012 and Dennis Warner one of the top artists of the year. Rich Warren, host of the popular syndicated radio show, Midnight Special, honored Dennis by designating Seeds as his CD Pick of the Week and continues to highlight Dennis' music with featured selections.

For his songwriting talents, Warner was honored with an invitation to perform in concert at the Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts in Washington, D.C. Other songwriting accolades include being a three-time "New Folk" finalist for songwriting at the internationally acclaimed Kerrville Folk Festival. Dennis has also appeared multiple times at Nashville's famed writers' club, The Bluebird Café.

Along with his own songwriting, Warner is widely admired for his moving interpretations of songs written by other artists. Fan favorites include his versions of Don't Laugh at Me, I'm My Own Grandpa, and The Garden Song (Inch by Inch).

As important as being a gifted musician, Dennis Warner is also an outstanding entertainer, cleverly blending up-tempo songs, ballads, audience participation, and humor into a memorable concert. He is noted for his warm stage presence and ability to connect with his audience.

Now in its fifth printing, Warner's popular children's book, Beads on One String, evolved from one of his songs and led to the creation of The Beads on One String Project, an elementary school curriculum being used throughout the country as a meaningful and fun way to teach kids about the negative effects of bullying and the positive effects of recognizing our "connectedness" with others. In support of his book and the curriculum project, Dennis is a popular guest musician and speaker at schools, libraries and Sunday morning gatherings.

Warner has collaborated with many noted musicians, including rock and roll legend Bobby Vee, vocalist Prudence Johnson, and instrumentalists Peter Ostroushko, Freebo, Paul Diethelm, and George Maurer. Most recently, he recorded with musician and humanitarian J.D. Steele.

Though he calls Minnesota home, Warner loves being on the road and has visited every state during his wonderful career. Dennis tours solo and also with his band "the D's".
