Pepperwood Spring Journaling Retreat with John Muir Laws
Each season Pepperwood will be hosting a seasonal retreat. This two-day experience is designed to let participants enjoy Pepperwood in all it's seasonal glory. Fees collected from the retreat go to help fund Pepperwood's family classes.
Immerse yourself in art and nature in this weekend journaling retreat. Keeping a nature journal that encourages discovery and curiosity is the most effective way to train yourself to be a naturalist. Explore and describe the wildlife, wildflowers, and landscapes on the pages of your journal. Learn to quickly draw what you see so that the journal becomes a tool to help you observe more deeply. Explore observation and curiosity enhancing exercises while refining your drawing and writing skills. This workshop will give you a rich tool box of nature study techniques for you to journal your way into summer. Participants are invited to stay at the Bechtel House or under the stars. A catered dinner Saturday night and breakfast Sunday are included.
