B-25 , BBQ, Beer, Bourbon, and Bootscootin' Patriotism Fundraiser
Honorary Chairman P Allen Smith cordially invites you to share a celebration of military history as a fundraiser for the National Cold War Center at the former Eaker Air Force Base.
Blytheville is rich in Aviation History. Home of the 25th Twin Engine Flying Training Group in World War Two, the town's Air Base trained thousands of pilots, including many in the famous B-25 Mitchell--the same aircraft that flew the surprise attack on Tokyo, now known as the Doolittle Raids. Come see AND RIDE IN an actual B-25! Tour the new Blytheville Air Force Base Exhibition, showcasing the base's rich and varied history. Then gather for an evening of dinner and dancing in our large tent, adjacent to the Exhbition building. The music will be provided by Nashville's greatest attraction: The Jake Mauer band, who has headlined the famed Tootsie's Orchid Lounge on Music Row for over a decade. His bass player will be CJ Wilder, one of Blytheville's own.
This charity event is a kick-off event for the new National Cold War Center, which will be built near the old B-52 Nuclear Alert Facility. This $23M state of the art Center will be a major enhancement to our town.
Please come join us on November 7th for a memorable day of flight and music: The "B-25, Barbeque, Beer, Bourbon, and Bootscootin' Patriotism Party."
Note: Due to COVID, safety and mask requirements will be in place. The event will be in an open air tent for better air flow and crowd safety.
Seating is strictly limited, so please sign up now.
