After last year's success, the Gainesville Harmony Show Chorus (the gals) and the Gainesville Barbergators (the guys) are again harmonizing to support a scholarship for veterans this Holiday Season. At 3:00 in the afternoon and at 7:00 in the evening on Saturday, December 14th, at the P. K. Yonge Performing Arts Auditorium, the two choruses will team up to deliver Holiday Harmonies II, a showcase of Christmas carols, noels, holiday tunes, and fun for children and adults of all ages.
The two choruses both sing four-part a capella harmony arrangements throughout the year, but this holiday is one of the few times the guys and gals team up and sing together. This year's show is inspired by 1940's radio themes, and some of the tunes in Holiday Harmonies II will feature eight-part vocal arrangements, a rare treat for both singers and audiences.
Partial proceeds will benefit the "Harmony Scholarship Fund" for returning veterans studying at Santa Fe College or the University of Florida.
