Richard Marsh unveils the makings of the start of the beginnings of his new show. At this point, it's not clear to anyone, least of all him, what it's going to be about. There might be music. There is unlikely to be aerial work. There will definitely be jokes, probably some rhyming, certainly Richard will feature prominently. Other than that, it's pretty open at the moment. Previous shows of Richard's have been on the radio and in wildly diverse cultural hotspots such as New York and Ipswich. They've all been at the Nursery and this one will be too. Richard is one of the greatest artists we've had the privilege to witness (he is writing this) so please join us for his mighty talent and reasonable prices.

An astutely intimate rollercoaster, 52 Pick Up works like memory not linear, but swerving from belly-busting comedy, to hysterically universal truths to quiet heartbreak in the literal drop of a card.

The technical format of 52 PICK UP is very unique at the top of the show, one of the performers throws a deck of cards in the air. Each card has the title of a scene written on it, and the shape of the show is then determined by random chance as the cards are picked up throughout the show.

52 Pick Up was first performed at the Montreal Fringe Festival in 2000 where it won the Chapter's Best Text Award. Since then it has been performed and well received in Australia, New Sealand, at the Edinburgh Fringe and all over the United States. It is now time to bring this award-winning play to London.
