In response to the unprecedented situation with the Coronavirus, The Nursery and The Maydays have moved our drop in classes online through video conferencing tool Zoom.
Improvisation is a fantastic way to connect with people and can help us to keep perspective and balance in these challenging and confusing times, as well as helping with creativity and confidence.
In these classes, we are taking improv exercises, scenes and games online as well as creating new online exercises in our daily research and development sessions.
*1pm, 5pm, 7.30pm and 8.30pm classes are 2 hours*
*10am classes are 1 hour*
What should I expect?
Our online drop in classes are slightly shorter than our normal drop in classes, but still offer the same combination of pair and group work, challenge and fun. In these classes, you will practise the skills of building, agreement, emotional expression and creativity. You will have an opportunity to connect with people around the world and share community and laughter through improvisation games and scenes.
These classes are energetic and playful, and each one is different, offering an opportunity to play and grow in challenging times.
Who is it for?
Our online drop ins are open to anyone from experienced players to absolute beginners. The atmosphere is accessible and non-judgemental while still providing the right level of challenge for those who want to push themselves.
When do they take place?
We have classes at a variety of different times to suit different schedules and time zones. The full list of class times is in the drop-down menu when you purchase. Please note all times are in BST / GMT+1.
What if I have never improvised before?
Thats no problem! These drop-ins are open to all levels and improvisers are very friendly people; though our Saturday class at 3.30pm is specifically catered to beginners and would be a perfect place to start.
How much are they?
Our standard two hour classes are just £10, and our shorter one hour morning classes are just £5. As we are offering free tickets to those who are unable to afford them, we are also offering an option to buy a place for yourself and a place for someone less able to afford it.

Please note that the Nursery cannot refund tickets after purchase. The minimum age for all Nursery classes is 18.
Please also note that classes start on time and if you are more than 30 minutes late without letting us know, you may not be able to join the class, as you will have missed warmups. This is at the teacher's discretion.
