About Missy Rohs: Missy Rohs is a co-founder and instructor at the Arctos School of Herbal and Botanical Studies in Portland, Oregon (https://arctosschool.org). She approaches herbalism with an eye to personal empowerment, community-building, and practical engagement with healing herbs. Her relationship to plants is guided by a strong conservation ethic and a deep love of Pacific Northwest ecosystems. She grows and wildcrafts her own medicine with a focus on sustainable herbal remedies: those that grow easily in populated habitats, and those that can be harvested in the wild with minimal impact. Missys path to herbal teaching began with grassroots activism. She joined the Black Cross Health Collective, which provided integrative first aid and aftercare for activists, and used that as a springboard to dive head-first into the world of herbal learning and into wilderness medicine. Herbal first aid blends these two passions.

About Natalie Hammerquist: Natalie runs the Adiantum School of Plant Medicine (http://ww.adiantumschool.com) , a local herb school in Seattle, where she teaches classes on plant ID, medicine making, and holistic herbalism. She has spent several years acquiring and synthesizing knowledge about Western Herbalism, PNW Materia Medica, nutrition, and Chinese Medicine. She is particularly passionate about traditional assessment techniques, the effects of emotions on the physical body, and holistic models of understanding imbalance. She also loves to forage and grow medicinal plants of all kinds, because cultivating a direct relationship with the living plant is not only educational but very healing. All in all, she is an empiricist at heart who loves experimentation and exploration into the possibilities of nourishing and strengthening our bodies and souls. As a teacher, Natalie is flexible, engaging and multi-sensory. She has taught more than 150 classes in the Seattle area since 2016, and is always looking for ways to keep classes fresh and new.

ZOOM CLASSES
Due to stay at home orders, I have decided to offer some virtual classes to keep us all from going crazy. Im sure this is a new platform for some of you, so heres all the info you need to join in!

How to join the zoom call:
I will send you a link to the scheduled conference call to the email you provided when you bought your ticket. When its time for class, you will follow that link (having already created your zoom account) and join the call. You may join with just audio, or just video. The call will start 10 minutes prior to the start of class so we can get settled in and technical difficulties worked out. I recommend using something with audio and video capabilities (phones or laptop computers work well).
