Beat-the-Plague: Revision Workshop for Playwrights

Revision is difficult! Come learn how to revise (not kill) your babies in community with other writers.

I usually teach an in-person Revision Workshop but since those have been cancelled, and I'm out of work, I thought we could help each other. I'm holding a number of PWYC (Pay What You Can) workshops online. Please consider throwing a few bucks in the bucket before or after, and if you can't afford to, that's cool. Please still come.

Each workshop is limited to 10 participants and lasts two-and-a-half hours. The schedule for the class is:
-Discuss the basics of revision (20 minutes)
-Receive a writing prompt and write a short 2-3 page play (20 minutes)
-Break (10 minutes)
-Discuss what you wrote, and the areas that are ripe for revision (40 minutes)
-Revise your short play (20 minutes)
-Share a few and discuss the revision process, and what you learned (30 minutes)
-End of Day

You will leave the workshop with either a new or newly begun artistic statement that has received feedback plus a handout that offers tips on websites, where to submit, productions, goals, etc.
