Guitarist Roni Ben-Hur relocated from Israel to New York in 1985, where he was fortunate to be taken under the wing of veteran jazz pianist Barry Harris. Roni collaborated with famed Brazilian singer Leny Andrade - performing around the world, from New York's Birdland and Dizzy's in Jazz at Lincoln Center, to top clubs in Brazil and Australia, and recording the duo album "Alegria de Viver" (2014). He has also performed with Cecil Payne, Etta Jones, Marcus Belgrave, Walter Booker, Diane Schuur, Charles McPherson, Jimmy Heath, Clark Terry, Slide Hampton, Earl May, Teri Thornton, Bill Doggett, Jon Faddis, and Roger Kellaway.

Bassist Harvie S is a veteran of the jazz and Latin music scenes. Known for his long standing duo project with jazz vocal legend Sheila Jordan, he has recorded and toured with the cream of the crop: Kenny Baron, Dexter Gordon, Stan Getz, Chet Baker, John Scofield, Steve Kuhn, James Weidman, Pat Martino, Mike Stern, and Paul Motian.

Drummer Sylvia Cuenca, originally from San Jose, now living in New York, has performed for 17 years with trumpet legend Clark Terry at venues such as the Village Vanguard and Blue Note in New York City. She toured internationally for 4 years with saxophonist Joe Henderson, including trio settings with Henderson and bassists Charlie Haden or George Mraz.
Ms. Cuenca has performed with such jazz luminaries as Billy Taylor, Eddie Henderson, Gary Bartz, Kenny Barron, Ray Drummond, Frank Foster, Red Holloway, Jimmy Heath, Al Grey, Frank Wess, Michael Brecker, Houston Person, Etta Jones, Jon Faddis, Dave Stryker, Ed Cherry, Dianne Reeves, John Hicks, Geoff Keezer, John Handy, Lew Soloff, Marian McPartland, Hilton Ruiz, George Cables, James Spaulding, Kenny Drew Jr., Frank Foster, Randy Brecker, Emily Remler, and Helen Merrill.

Schwartzs Quintet is Winner of 2016 Northwest Acoustic Jazz Ensemble of the Year. Their latest album, Flash Mob, spent eight weeks in jazz radios Top 10 and earned a four-star review in Down Beat magazine, reinforcing Schwartzs reputation as a passionate but poised improviser and smart purveyor of captivating melodies. Schwartz has performed at jazzs most prestigious clubs and festivals, including the Blue Note and Dizzys (NYC), Blues Alley (DC), Yoshis (Oakland), Jazz Alley (Seattle), and the Monterey Jazz Festival. Recent engagements include sold-out shows at Jazz at Lincoln Center and a feature as soloist with the Boston Pops in Boston Symphony Hall. He is a longtime faculty member of the California Jazz Conservatory and has taught extensively at the Stanford Jazz Workshop and the Brubeck Institute. Schwartz is also the author of a popular blog about jazz, improvisation and harmony.
