Saké 101 and 201

Both of these fantastic classes are taught by visiting expert and saké mentor to La Bodega, Marcus Pakiser. This year Marcus is assisted by Midori Nakazawa of Saké One, so there are two great saké minds this year to learn from!

Saké 101 is exactly what it sounds like: an intro to all things saké that caters to people who have little to no experience with this fantastic beverage. You will learn about different styles of saké, the basic brewing process, ingredients and of course, you will taste many saké to further your education ;)

Saké 201 is a chance for Marcus and Midori to geek out and taste some different saké with those who are ready to step it up a notch!

$20 includes your seat, saké and small bites (not a meal) by Hearth Artisan Pizza.

Marcus's bio:
Marcus Pakiser is the Vice President of Sake for Youngs Market Company. He has been in the Sake industry for 26 years including brewing sake in both Japan and the US. In 2015, Marcus was given the title of Sake Samurai by the Japanese Sake Brewers Association of Japan for his efforts to promote sake around the world and for his endless passion for Sake. Marcus has been a certified Sake instructor for WSET since the programs inception and has taught various sake courses and trainings across North America.
