Dr. Sven Dietrich is an associate professor in mathematics and computer science at the City University of New York, doing research in cyber security, most specifically in network security, software security, insider threat, and applied cryptography. Prior employers include NASA GSFC, Carnegie Mellon University, and Stevens Institute of Technology. He also runs a NYC-based consulting company, Sanaga Labs LLC, which advises businesses and legal firms on cyber security matters. His upcoming book with Springer Verlag is on P2P botnets and distributed denial of service, 20 years later. He is a former president of the Rotary Club of Wall Street New York, a Paul Harris Fellow, and somewhat recently joined the Rotary Club of Chinatown New York. He holds a doctoral degree in mathematics from Adelphi University in Long Island, New York.
