Les Misérables
France year 1832. Imprisoned for 19 years, parolee Jean Valjean builds a new life in a nation that is in the grips of misery. The corrupt monarchy was deposed but is reinstated. Famine, cholera and poverty ravage the country. A rebellion is underway. Through it all, the indomitable human spirit shines through the rubble and depravity to live another day. "Do You Hear the People Sing?".
