Get your act videotaped!
One of the best ways to show a producer or booking agent that you're serious about your craft is having a professional video of your act that you can send them. Real talk: No one is impressed by shaky iPhone footage (especially in portrait mode) with poor sound quality, where you can hear the audience more clearly than the performer on stage. It's certainly not the best way to showcase your talents!
That's why the Hoot is offering attendees a chance to have their act (up to 15 mins in length) professionally filmed in private slots, which they will receive within 30 days and have on hand to apply for gigs the world over. You will have full reign of the Cafe Istanbul stage and we will plug into the soundboard directly for crisp, clean sound. The $35 fee per video goes directly to helping to cover the Hoot's costs for the weekend and keeping the Hoot going year round.
