This workshop has been broadened to include many non-rope bondage techniques, tips, and gear. Where appropriate, we'll also provide links to where you can buy discounted rope and gear.

* Workshop format
******************************
This workshop begins with an overview of bondage techniques and materials, with lots of "show and tell" items and pointers on buying appropriate bondage materials.
The remainder of the class is formatted as lecture / demo, with structured opportunities for hands-on practice after the workshop. It's full of useful knots and easy-to-tie positions. By the end of the workshop, you will have some basic skills and will be able to practice tying up your partner with grace and confidence.
The whole workshop is interactive. You're encouraged to bring your questions and to participate via the video/audio connection and the text chat.
Appropriate social distancing means that many of us do not have ready access to a practice partner. This class is structured to facilitate practicing on yourself / inanimate objects / partners after the class, but does NOT require a practice partner during the class. There will be a 30 minute practice period after the class if you'd like to practice on camera while Max watches and assists.
Max's classes always have a handout, and you'll receive yours as part of your welcome packet after you register. It's 15+ pages designed to reinforce the online instruction, helping you remember the knots and techniques as you practice.
As always, the emphasis is on learning and having fun.

* Who should attend?

No prior knowledge of bondage or knots is assumed for this class - it's perfectly appropriate for beginners. If you've already done some bondage it's a great way to tune up your technique.
This workshop assumes no previous BDSM experience and is appropriate for all genders, all orientations, and for both tops and bottoms.

* Afterwards

Attendees will receive an illustrated handout full of principles, safety information, basic technique, and plenty of pictures and instruction to help you practice the knots and ties in this workshop.
When you're practicing afterwards, the following rope will be useful:
(1) 10-foot piece of 6mm or 8mm
(1) 30-foot piece of 6mm or 8mm

* About Max
******************************
Max has been active in Seattle's kink community since 1992 and has been teaching bondage, BDSM, and polyamory workshops since 1999.
While he is proficient with a wide range of BDSM skills, Max especially enjoys the intimacy of rope bondage and the intensity of the singletail. Max projects a gentle, dominant energy, and all of his relationships - and most of his scenes - include a substantial D/S component.
Max's love of teaching shines through his workshops, and his love for people informs his personal encounters.
