Lois Bourgon - "High Standards: The Birth of the Great American Songbook"
The Great American Songbook. The most popular and enduring music of the 1920's thru the 1950's by America's most beloved composers - Irving Berlin, Harold Arlen, George Gershwin and more. Lois Bourgon shares her insight into these composers' lives and music. The Steve Rawlins Trio featuring Steve on piano, Paul Morin (bass) and Gordon Peake (drums) will accompany Ms. Bourgon on this very special night. All proceeds will go to the South Bay Auxiliary Children's Hospital Los Angeles. This event is the first of a new Cabaret Series presented by NewStuff Productions at the intimate Second Story Theater in Hermosa Beach.
There will be a reception from 5:30 to 6:00 in the lobby area of the theater with refreshments and conversation!
