Rose Dorn at DRKMTTR
Rose Dorn is a trio of songwriters who, though initially scattered across Los Angeles San Fernando Valley, ultimately came together in a strangers house somewhere in Eagle Rock. This origin story functions well as a metaphor for their music. At once eerily familiarclose to homeand simultaneously resistant to total understanding, these songs never arrive where or when youre expecting them to, as figments of a dream that are only able to be narrativized upon waking. Showcasing the synergy of three sensitive minds, Rose Dorns bittersweet songs never fail to reflect multiple sides of the moods and stories theyre sharing. Therein lies the power, even magic, of a Rose Dorn song. And this is to say nothing of the music itself, of the tones and textures that walk this same line of (ethe)reality.
