Cathy Fink & Marcy Marxer

Two-time GRAMMY® Award Winners, Cathy Fink & Marcy Marxer are an eclectic folk festival on their own terms. Their superb harmonies are backed by instrumental virtuosity on the guitar, five-string banjo, ukulele, mandolin and cello-banjo. The duo released their 48th recording in 2019, Wahoo, dedicated to the mighty Ukulele. They have toured and performed with Tom Paxton, Pete Seeger, Patsy Montana (first woman in country music to sell one million records), Ola Belle Reed and many others. Cathy is a three-time winner of the West Virginia State Banjo Contest and in 2018 she became the first woman to win the Clifftop Appalachian Music Festival Banjo Competition. Marcy has inspired multiple instrument companies to create signature instruments including the Martin Guitar company, National Steel Guitars, Kala & Ohana Ukuleles and Gold Tone.

The duos stories are as engaging as their songs. To hear and see them in an intimate venue such as Artichoke is a real treat.
