Kevin Carroll ukulele "Western Swing workshop "
Texas Swing- two hour workshop!
This workshop will open up the driving 2/4 rhythms and jazzy chords
commonly called Western Swing. Texas has a long history with this
genre. Ukulele can be a great instrument to learn this exciting music.
We will explore 2 classic songs from the Bob Wills catalog. Born in
Texas in 1905, Bob blazed a trail that is still burning today. Our study
will include a basic 2-finger chord approach for beginners, 3-finger
chords for intermediate players and some knuckle-busters for the
advanced players. High-g and low-g friendly. U-bass and singers
welcome, too.
