Corvallis V-Day 2020: The Vagina Monologues
NOTE: Online tickets for Saturday night's performance are SOLD OUT. There are 20 "at-door" seats set aside in the arrangement that is already set up, but we don't plan to turn anyone away unless we have to. There are extra seats we can set up, seats which won't provide optimum viewing angles, but seats nevertheless!
JUSTICE THEATRE @ THE UUFC
The Vagina Monologues, by Eve Ensler
Directed by Kimberly Gifford Olbrich
A pay-what-you-can V-Day Benefit Performance with all proceeds supporting the Center Against Rape & Domestic Violence and the Mid-Willamette Trans Support Network
Performances: Friday and Saturday, February 28th and 29th at 7:30 PM
Justice Theatre @ UUFC is pleased to present a production of Eve Enslers groundbreaking piece of activist theatre, The Vagina Monologues. Every February, Ensler provides the script rights-free as part of the V-Day movement, which is intended to use theatre to raise money for organizations that fight for womens rights, gender inclusivity, and aid for victims of domestic violence.
This performance will take place at the Unitarian Universalist Fellowship of Corvallis, located at 2945 NW Circle Blvd in Corvallis. The performance is pay-what-you-can: $20, $5, $1, ten cents, nothing; it's all fine. Everyone should have a chance to experience theatre! We will also be accepting cash donations on the night of the performance. While we WILL have tickets available at the door, interest in this performance has been pretty high, so it's possible we could hit our seating capacity. For this reason, we recommend reserving your ticket ahead of time!
Questions about the performances may be directed to producer Rachel Kohler at reassociate@uucorvallis.org.
About the Venue:
Since 2017, the Unitarian Universalist Fellowship of Corvallis has been home to Justice Theatre, a community theatre venture aimed at staging small-scale productions with pay-what-you-will performances supporting social justice causes. Past beneficiaries have included the ACLU and the Corvallis Cold Weather Mens Shelter. Our mission is to create theatre that fosters discussion about the world around us, to stage productions that are completely open and accessible to audience members of any income level, and to use theatre to generate donations for good causes.
PLEASE NOTE: Due to content and language, this performance may not be appropriate for children. Parents may use their discretion.
