The Newington Children's Theatre Company is proud to present the holiday classice, BABES IN TOYLAND, December 6-15, 2013.

Join our cast of youth, ages 5-18, as they perform this musical gem! Based on Victor Herbert's popular operetta, BABES IN TOYLAND follows many of our favorite Mother Goose characters as they celebrate at the annual Mother Goose Land Christmas Carnival. Enter Ms. Barnaby, the richest, most notorious woman in all of Mother Goose Land has come to "rain on their parade." She reminds them all that she holds to mortgage on Widow Piper's shoe house and will throw them all out if she doesn't get her money on time. Mistress Mary Quite Contrary comes up with a plan to ask the Master Toymaker for a job. Two problems: Toyland is on the other side of the spooky spider forest, and many people go to Toyland, but no one has ever returned. Mistress Mary is determined to see out her plan!

This charming musical tale through the worlds of Mother Goose Land and Toyland will delight the child in all of us!

Performances are Fridays and Saturdays at 7:00pm and Saturdays and Sundays at 2:00pm. Tickets $12 for Adults ($15 at the door) and $10 for Seniors, Students, or Children.
