Property Tour - Gifts of the Planet Farm

Tour a local farm on 5 acres, Gifts of the Planet in Woodland, and get stewardship ideas for your property by seeing practices in action. This property was recognized by WSU Clark County Extension as a model property for their stewardship.

Participants will have the opportunity to a hoop house, and learn about fencing, drainage practices, vegetated buffer areas, and reducing mud. This model property is a great property to tour for any acreage owners who are thinking about growing fruit trees and berries. Come learn about how the landowners achieved recognition as a model property and how best management practices have been implemented to improve their property and protect natural resources, while saving time and money.

Bring your family & friends and questions you have about your property. Please dress appropriately for the weather, bring a water bottle and wear waterproof boots, as we'll be in the field. Coffee, juice, and water will be provided The farm store will be open.

The Small Acreage Program, co-sponsored by Washington State University Clark County Extension and Clark County Clean Water, will lead the tour with the landowners.
