Rhythms of Egypt and Syria, featuring the Elias Lammam Trio
The Arab American Club of Monterey proudly presents an evening of classic Arabic music at the Irvine Auditorium of the MIIS in Monterey:
"Rhythms of Egypt and Syria" featuring the Elias Lammam Trio:
World-renowned microtonal accordionist and singer Elias Lammam of Lebanon Highly respected violinist and singer Fathi Aljarrah of Syria Master percussionist and riqq virtuoso Antoine Lammam of Lebanon
The Trio plays classic Arabic music of the 20th century, primarily from Egypt and Syria, and also Lebanon, including songs of Oum Kholthum, Fairuz, Abdel Halim Hafez, Mohamed Abdel Wahab, the Rahbani brothers, as well as original compositions of Elias Lammam and Fathi Aljarrah, and various improvisations.

The concert will be held at the Irvine Auditorium at the Monterey Institute of International Studies in Monterey, CA. Family-friendly show. All ages are welcome. Open theater-style seating. Tickets are $30 at the door, cash only. Advance ticket sales through BPT are highly recommended as the show is expected to sell out in advance.
