NAMI (SFV) DAY Presented by The REEL Recovery Film Festival & Symposium

The Reel Recovery Film Festival, in its 11th year in Los Angeles is dedicated increasing awareness and reducing the stigma around addiction and mental illness. The festival strives to do this through entertaining, informative and inspirational films that are honest representations of addiction and mental health issues.

This year the Reel Recovery Film Festival & Symposium is partnering with NAMI SFV(National Alliance on Mental Illness - San Fernando Valley) to increase awareness of the many mental health issues affecting millions of Americans. Although society has come a long way in accepting depression and anxiety as normative, stigma and misinformation remains. With over 1000 chapters in America, NAMISFV aims to challenge that. NAMI SFValso has support groups, classes and multiple resources for people living with mental illness and their friends and families.
