Its just you and me, kid

Twoprov, or duo shows are simply shows with two improvisers in. Its as simple and as complex as that. Ranging from the Two-man Movie, to Bassprov, the art of a duo is to create a show that is so personal to the two of you that no one else could ever have made it.There is no one else to please and no one else to satisfy.

In this course,you will examine skills including how to play multiple characters in a single scene, edit from within and build a show without any time in the wings to take stock of whats happening. You will also examine how to warm up and rehearse as a duo, as well as how to feedback and improve your shows without a director and while keeping a light, friendly atmosphere in the rehearsal room.

In this course, you will examine how to make a show where theres just you and your buddy to rely on. Where you are all you have to rely on. You will work to discover new ways of playing that are specific to the two of you and form them into a show which is specific to you.

This course is for those who have done at least one year or regular improv (eg 1-2 classes a week) and can be taken with an existing performance partner, or by yourself. The minimum age for all Nursery classes is 18.

This is an 8 week course running every Tuesday evening, 7pm-9.30pm, starting on 4th February.

Please note that though the space itself at 504 Arches is wheelchair accessible, the toilet is not. We are sorry for this inconvenience.

The Nursery is a charity and does its best to keep course fees low to make improv accessible for as many people as possible. To this end, we offer two course prices, our standard rate of £240, and a higher rate of £500 which includes a significant donation to the Nursery. These donations help us to keep offering free and subsidised places through our scholarship scheme.
