Andrew Duhon and Marty O'Reilly
Andrew Duhon is a songwriter from New Orleans, a teller of stories with an undeniable voice, weighted and soulful. Duhon has released 3 recordings, the latest of which, The Moorings, was nominated for a Grammy in 2014 for Best Engineered Album. He has toured solo for much of his career, and that troubadour element is certainly present, an usher of modern day folklore.
Just when you think American roots music should be relegated to the dusty confines of a purists museum it will surprise you with a paradigm shift. Here Marty O'Reilly performs a rare solo set, playing a blend of indie, folk, and blues music from Santa Cruz, California. With influences such as C.W. Stoneking, Tom Waits, The Black Keys, Kelly Joe Phelps, Mississippi John Hurt, Nick Drake, John Lee Hooker, and Van Morrison, Marty brings a fresh interpretation of roots music sure to delight fans across several genres.
