2019 Kitsap Grown Harvest Dinner, presented by the Kitsap Community and Agricultural Alliance:

Event Details: Coming to Dinner - Building Community Through Food"

Keynote Speaker: Monica Downen, of Monica's Waterfront Bakery & Café in Silverdale

Food unites us, animates our memories, nourishes us, and, for many of us, provides a living. Sharing a meal is an intimate experience. Bonds with those we love become stronger, and strangers become friends around a good meal.

In that spirit, we invite you to celebrate Kitsap food and community with the most delicious meal of the year, the Kitsap Grown Harvest Dinner. Chef Chris Plemmons, director of Olympic Colleges Culinary Arts program, will be joined by some of the top chefs of Kitsap County to create a spectacular and diverse menu from Kitsap County farms and food providers.

Monica Downen, of Monica's Waterfront Bakery & Café in Silverdale, will be our keynote speaker. Monica is one of the originators of the Kitsap Harvest Meal and has an important story to tell about the power, history and importance of food in community. She will offer a vision for connection, identifying food and farming as one of the greatest assets to our community's development.
