The Shades EP Release - SOLD OUT!

SOLD OUT!!! Join The Shades for an evening of songs, stories, and surprises as they celebrate the release of their second EP, DRAW. This one-time-only event will include an acoustic performance of the EP from start to finish, as well as a very special set of covers that inspired the music on the record.
This is a seated dinner show in Uncommon Ground's intimate Listening Room. While enjoying the show, treat yourself to beers from our very own Greenstar Brewery, the first all organic brewery in IL, and food from the first 4-star restaurant with a certified organic rooftop farm in the U.S.

The Shades are a Chicago-based pop trio comprised of NBC 'The Voice' contestant, Andrew DeMuro, and brothers Phil and Mark Jacobson. Equipped primarily with their voices and acoustic guitars, The Shades draw on a variety of influences to create an uncommonly good blend of pop, rock, folk, and soul. Impressive arrangements, tight harmonies, and creative mashups are hallmarks of The Shades live act, which has reached thousands of audience members between Chicago's City Winery, Navy Pier, and Lincoln Hall, with appearances on Windy City Live and WGN along the way.

After receiving nationwide honors when lead vocalist Andrew DeMuro landed a spot on Team Adam in Season 11 of NBCs The Voice, The Shades released their first major recorded effort in October 2017 a six-song EP entitled Miles Made of Inches.

The Shades also demonstrate a commitment to making an impact off the stage and in Chicago's underserved communities through their work with Guitars Over Guns, a music and mentoring nonprofit focused on providing healthy after-school arts programming and performance opportunities to students in challenging environments.
