Strange Ladies
As the U.S. enters World War I, a group of American women -- radical suffragists -- fight to win the right to vote. A diverse group of "strange ladies" struggle with managing personal and political challenges in creating social change.
This work of historical fiction draws on the events surrounding the Night of Terror arrests and subsequent hunger strikes, and weaves period protest music through the play, dramatizing the suffragists' political strategies.
