National Lampoons Vacation (1983)
Clark Griswold (Chevy Chase) is consumed with driving his family from Chicago to California for a vacation at Wally World amusement park. Less a vacation than a descent into a peculiarly American kind of hell, the Griswolds suffer a series of catastrophes en route including car trouble, the death of a family member, and a run-in with the law.
When they finally reach Los Angeles, Clark worries that the trip is being derailed again. Hes determined to get his family to the park whatever it takes. But whos that beautiful blonde in the red Ferrari?
This is the first film in the Vacation comedy franchise.
Starring Chevy Chase and Beverly D'Angelo.
