The Christians by Lucas Hnath
Pony World Theatre presents the Seattle Premier of the Obie Award-winning, national smash hit play The Christians by Lucas Hanth.
**NOTE: This play performs at several different locations. See below for details.**
"A mesmerizing drama...terrific." -- The New York Times
The Christians tells the story of a church that grew over twenty years from a modest storefront to a congregation that numbers in the thousands. Led by Pastor Paul and his wife Elizabeth, the church now has classrooms, a coffee shop, escalators, and a baptismal font as big as a swimming pool. But when Pastor Paul delivers a surprise message for his flock, a schism ruptures the once unified congregation and also threatens his marriage with Elizabeth. Winner of the Kesselring Prize and Obie Award, The Christians asks the most important question of our times: Can we still love each other if we hold different beliefs?
This unique production will be performed in actual churches in several different neighborhoods in Seattle. Pony World is bringing theatre to you! Performances are October 3 - 26. Check below or on our website (www.ponyworld.org) for details on locations and dates.
ALL Audiences welcome!
