ADVANCE RESERVATIONS STRONGLY RECOMMENDED Capacity is limited to 48 passengers. Cruises do sell out. We recommend you purchase your tickets in advance. (Walk-up tickets are sold, space permitting. Please check with ticket booth when you arrive.) The U.S. Coast Guard sets limits for number of passengers on board.
2019 Norwalk Islands - Bird Watching Tour
Sun, sea breeze and beautiful wildlife make a perfect combination and that's just what the Norwalk Seaport Association offers up in its bird-watching tour.
This 3 hour trip departs from the Seaport Dock adjacent to the Stroffolino Bridge at 4 North Water Street at the corner of Washington and Water streets in South Norwalk. The 45-foot C. J. Toth catamaran will take participants on an up close, three-hour cruise of the Norwalk Islands.
You will visit a variety of birds at a safe distance, nest sites and nesting colonies of Ospreys, Egrets, American Oystercatchers, Herons, Terns, Gulls, Cormorants and many more.
Every trip is a different experience with nature providing all the excitement!
Preston Lust, a local who grew up as a passionate wildlife and bird enthusiast, will conduct our bird watching tours on these dates. As an officer in the Connecticut Young Birders Club, Preston, who has a special interest in nocturnal migration and has conducted research on nocturnal flight calls for the last three years, will share his knowledge and expertise about our local birds and their behavior. Having participated in bird-watching competitions, such as the World Series of Birding and the Megabowl of Birding (the latter of which placed first place for three years straight!), Preston is excited to share his passion with all who attend!

When making reservations, leave contact information that will be available for day of trip. It is important to provide an email during registration. If this event is cancelled due to inclement weather, we will contact you VIA EMAIL.
Ticketing fees applied to all reservations.
Tickets are non refundable unless there is a weather cancellation. If a cancellation occurs, please feel free to contact Brown Paper Tickets (800-838-3006) to reschedule or for a full refund.
