Herbal Medicine Making Through an Ethical Lens

Join us for this hands-on medicine making class as we navigate the world of herbal medicine through an ethical lens. Herbalist and Plant Witch Fern Wynn will discuss the importance of energetics in herbal and plant spirit medicines while using ethical codes of practice. This class will include skills for clearing yourself, your space, and your medicine making tools. We will be making a tincture, an herbal vinegar and an oxymel.

Fern Wynn is a practicing energetic herbalist and has been in relationship with Devil's Club for the past seven years. This relationship, as well as the medicine this plant has to offer, has been profoundly healing for her. For Fern to be in reciprocal relationship is to be of service to the plant. Sometimes this looks like picking up trash from an area where it grows, sometimes this looks like helping people to understand that the answer is "no" when looking to harvest the plant, and sometimes this looks like teaching people about its medicine. It is important to her that people understand how to protect and respect this special plant.
